Coy Lake’s electrical system is not designed or rated for electric‑vehicle charging. For safety and compliance with New Brunswick electrical regulations, EV charging is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, including campsite pedestals, cabins, outbuildings, and shared facilities.

🚫 Prohibited Actions

• Charging an EV at a campsite

• Using adapters or extension cords to draw high‑load power

• Connecting any vehicle to 15A, 30A, or 50A pedestals

💵 Penalties & Enforcement

If a guest charges an EV despite this policy:

• A $100 flat fee will be added to the reservation for unauthorized electrical use.

• In accordance with New Brunswick electrical safety laws, violators may also be:

• Reported to NB Electrical Inspection Services

• Subject to fines for unsafe electrical use

• Evicted without refund for creating a safety hazard

⚡ Why This Policy Exists

New Brunswick’s electrical code requires campgrounds to protect infrastructure from overload and fire risk. EV charging draws sustained high amperage that RV pedestals are not engineered to support, and doing so can damage the system or create dangerous heat buildup.
